The socks were hung by the chimney with care....

I always struggle where to lay out my socks to get them to dry. Today D and I were discussing making a bottom face place for the pellet stove. While I was standing there, I thought of Christmas and the story, The Night Before Christmas.
Now I don't have to wait for the sun to come out so it'll dry my socks. I'll continue to take a hint from Christmas and dry them the good old fashioned way.

I have put a metal chair in front of the pellet stove and dry mine. It takes a couple days because we have more socks than you do. Sometimes I just throw them over the shower doors but with the damp weather they don't dry before my next shower. It will be nice when dry weather hangs out for a while and I can use my clothesline outside again.

I thought you had more than two pairs of those socks.

I hang mine in our laundry room. Our heater is also in the laundry which keeps the room nice and warm. I close the door and the socks are usually dry by the next day.
